Re: 350Z Dyno Chart for ECU Changes

What's the deal with the torque falling off a cliff at 4800 while the HP plateaus until about 5300? Is that typical?

typical.

HP is a calculation based on Torque times RPM divided by a constant

I think something's wrong with the graph. Don't the HP and torque lines usually cross at 5200 rpm? The second graph crosses at 5500 rpm. I don't think this is an accurate chart.

Re: 350Z Dyno Chart for ECU Changes

Great news Merlin, 7hp and 3 tq is a sizeable increase.
Can someone explain how this change is done on our cars (when they have ours ready).
Does it mean reprograming on a scan machine, and how easy is this to do? TIA........

They are supposed to cross at 5252 however that is only true when the torque scale is the same as the horsepower scale, in this case the scales are not even so comparing rpm is pointless.

Re: 350Z Dyno Chart for ECU Changes

If you look at the HP rating right at 5252, and compare it to the torque rating (using the other scale) at 5252, you'll see that they do indeed equal each other.

How much ?
How hard is it to flash/install, and set it back to default so that our dealers know nothing about it

If it's flashed you will have to reflash with stock settings. Simply turning the power off will not erase it. Most devices of this type will be able to do that.
