z-tube installed... i have some questions..
ok installed my z-tube today... thanx to the post on DIY instruction in
FAQ... it went pretty smooth... i can feel the smoother pull on the higher
RPM and am overall satisfied with the result... the only pronlem i have is that i can't hear the gain of growl on the front from the z-tube...
is it supose to make a major difference in sound? and while i was putting back the engine cover i dropped the two bushing part underneath the engine
bay where there is the under difuser... is this dangerous for the car??? fast response will be very appreciated... thanx alot guys~

there will be a difference in sound, but not a great difference. there aren't any baffles in the z-tube like there is in the stock one.
as for the "bushing part" that you dropped in the diffuser, shouldn't really be a problem. if you've already driven the car, then they probably fell off by now. the only moving parts external of the engine would be the crank pulley and belts, but i don't foresee it gettin' up there (if you're sure it fell all the way through to the diffuser).

I have a question regarding the Z Tube. I have a 2005 6M and already have a K&N drop in. I am told that the Z-tube has no baffles, and therefore allows additional breathing. Seeing how the new 05's have the exact same power and torque numbers as a 350z anniversary, is it really any different? Would i be gaining anything other than sound? I wouldnt mind getting some additional growl at WOT, but is it something i will notice or say "why did i waste my money"?
Please advise.
Thanx
