Re: V10 in a coupe

no i am not kidding a turrbo will cost like 6-7 grand and a new engine will cost me like the same. so turbos and get about 450hp at the wheels or new engine and get 600-1200 hp with no turbos. My friend has a mustang with a V10 in it he also made it a mid engine car.

Re: V10 in a coupe

This is just not something you do to a low mileage, mint condition automobile. You're going to prematurely age it by cutting up the hell out of the engine compartment and then the interior to fit in the transmission. Not to mention that you'll be getting an engine that likely has much more mileage than your own.

Engine swaps do sound like fun, but I highly recommend you pick up a badly abused used car for that. Anything with a totalled engine can be had for short change, since you're swapping in a different one anyway. Look especially for something lightweight.

You don't want to play mad scientist on a pristine condition G35, that's just crazy. I'd hope even the guys currently driving V10s would tell you that.

The idea is kinda good tho bro. Just imagine a G-45! With a lttle tweaking, you could prolly get some 400 hp or so. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Re: V10 in a coupe

Anything can be accomplished with money, but I doubt you can find a V10 or a nice V8 for under the price of a turbo installation.

It would be pretty cool to see someone drop a Q45 engine in a G35 and replace the G35 badge with a G45 badge

Re: V10 in a coupe

I doubt you could find a V10 that would fit in the engine bay, myself.

With unlimited funds...most anything is possible...

But I have to agree...I doubt a V10 would fit.

Re: V10 in a coupe

what you have said is wrong in so many ways.
what are you thinking? V10! to even think of putting that in i dont think you should even install an intake yourself.
you might be able to fit a Q45 motor in, maybe.
