Does anyone know the average dealer mark up on parts.
Like the plenum spacers, grounding gear, manifolds, cats, exhausts.
Some of this stuff definetely is a more perceived value

I'm sure it's less than dealer markup on oem parts, which is 100% [varies by item].
Dealers give local independents 15-30% discount [based on monthly volume] to let them make something reselling at retail.
We buy $50,000 per month from dealers and get 25% off on average.
Most independents depend on "parts margin" to maintain under dealer labor pricing!
At a dealership the service department is not very profitable.......all the profit is shifted to the parts deparment........they would not have techs except necesssary for installing the parts they sell.

The dealerships here charge between 55% to 72% mark-up for GroundingGear® Systems. The installs range from 1 hour (5 Wire Custom) to 2 hours (for the 5MT Performance System). Shhhhh.
