Imporved MPG with Grounding system and Stillen int

Hi,

I know this may not be a big deal but on my last tankfull of gas that I burned, I avereaged 17.58 MPG with a new grounding kit and Stillen Coldair Box intake now installed! I was averaging around 16.05 before solidly without deviation! i drive in the north Chicago suburbs and mostly on single lane roads with stoplights about every 0.5mi! For me, this was quite a surprising improvement that wasn't expected!

Any feedback apprecaited. Oh, and if you live in or near Chicago, see my post under the Regional Midwest section about an upcoming G35 meet in Chicago area!!!

I have the 7 wire grounding kit (produced by our own Gordon Gee) and Stillen intake. I must say that my gas mileage has definately increased by around 3 MPG. I also have 9000 miles which also helps. Just installed the 350Z intake ducting and sounds really wild! Can't wait until the HKS exhaust arrives. Then off to the dyno!!!

mbarrad,

What did you have to order for the 350Z duct? From the link you posted, it sounds like it's a hose clamp, the bellows, and a few other pieces. Please advise. Also, where did you order the duct from, local Nissan store?

Chiphead, I ordered from a regular Nissan parts dept. The cost was $100.18 w/out tax. Use the part number dspisak has referenced. I did not have to buy any clamps or extra parts. The Duct comes with one clamp already, and you can use the clamp from the Infinity duct. Installed in 15 minutes. Soap up the rubber insertion points for easy installation. Hope this helps.
