individual throttle bodies
individual throttle bodies
has anyone tried to do this on a G35? i think this would increase the power output massively since the M3 has a 3.2L I6 and the G has a 3.5L V6
Individual TB only affect the frictional air flow losses across the throttle plate.
Diameter of combined intake ports [oval with injector flow notch] sets diameter of individual TB.
Nissan tunes plenum and runner length/diameter to 2nd harmonic at torque peak rpm thus a torque boost but increased loss [less gain] at HP peak rpm.........Individuals might improve breathing by 3-4 even 5% with a cam change over oem system with a complementary loss in peak torque.
The problems are how to meter the air [where to put the MAF/MAFs] for best idle accuracy......a mild ground compromise might be 2 plenums, 2 TB each, with a MAF [What Ferrari and others use]. Might gain 2-2.5-3% [dual TB].
Really all about packaging and required runner length [from mid lift of intake valve to plenum connection.

84000 (constant) = 5250 rpm ~16" (runner length)
