Greddy Emanage Ultimate
Hey Guys,
Check this out.
http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.p...5&page=1&pp=20
The Greddy Emanage Ultimate.... it darn near looks like a replacement for a ECU reflash.
Timing can be advanced or retarded!
A/F can be adjusted up or down.
In many ways it will be more powerful than a reflash because it can be changed by the user at any time its needed and it costs about the same. If you got ping you can simply pull timing in the area of the map where it occurs. Right on your lap top! No sending the ECU out for a non-tailored "cookie cutter" reflash.
There will be a few things a reflash can do that this cant but overall, this is looking really slick.
With the different maps you can program in, you can use one map for the Chitty CA 91 octane gas, and switch to another more agressive map for 100 octane at the track.
Assuming Sharif approves of it when his testing is finished, I'm all over this thing.

Tony - I've been reluctantly looking at this new product. The one thing that keeps haunting me is that, when you have a fully modded NA VQ, no matter how well they're 'tuned', you'll only yield a little bit of additional power. I keep thinking about how much money I've spent for 20-30rwhp when I could have slapped a VORTEC S/C on my stock G and got 3-5 times as much power (for about the same price).
The more I learn about FI and this car, the more I'm leaning toward just advising people to slap on a Vortec S/C the day the buy the car and keep the 8lb. pulley. *345rwhp and 310 rwtq isn't too shabby of an increase compared to 235rwhp and 220rwtq IMO.
*estimated numbers

High initial cost can't be avoided with FI. That's a minimum of $6K dropped all at once. Reliability can be hit or miss with FI and if/when something goes wrong, the results can often be a spectacular nightmare. And for emissions here in CA, currently none of them will pass...the only exception being a Stillen SC.
Don't get me wrong. I'm waiting for JWT to smog certify their turbo system. When(if) it gets smog legal I'm slamming it on real quick. If it doesn't I'll reconsider the Stillen SC.
But think of it this way. If you started with FI on your G, you would still end up putting on many the bolt on mods. Thats the natural course of our addiction. If you have FI, the yeild of bolt ons can only be enhanced. The Emanage looks like a good tool for on the fly optimizations tailored spcifically to your cars needs for any given situation.
Just think of how much time you would spend tweaking and optimizing your Vortec with a Greddy Emanage ultimate. A ECU relash is for the most part "one size fits all". The Emanage can be optimized for cold days, hot days, good gas, bad gas, street driving, tracking or what ever suits your needs at that moment in time.
In fact, I will be using this along with the Innovate Motorsports LM-1 and LM-3 auxbox kit (for detailed analysis).
It appears the capabilities of the Emanage ultimate will be able to add a new avenue for user control and optimization. If Sharif approves of it, I'll get it soon after and post reviews, dynos and details of what I can get it to do.
And one thing I'll do for sure is optimize a map for 100 octane gas! That should be interesting.
