Samco Hoses

I just got my blue Samco hoses for my G35c from the group buy that just ended and after having them installed I can honestly say they are the ugliest thing I have ever put on my car.

Besides the blue being a VERY eye drawing color the fine people at Samco felt it necesarry to plaster their name all over the hoses in bold, white lettering.

The kicker, is that with my Koyo radiator all the hoses had to be trimmed, so there is NO way I will be able to even sell them.

A special thanks goes out to SFLG35 for talking me in to buying them!!!!!!

Hopefully the Pithon locks will at least cover up some of the Samco advertisements they included on my hoses.

Sorry to post with out any pictures, but I'm at work without the car and I'm bored.

I've seen people wrap them in colored tape.

I have the red; but I am waiting on the pithon locks before I install. Hopefully I will not be as horrified as you were.

Honestly I think my real concern is the fact that they are the focal point of my engine bay. I have $20,000 invested in the engine and all you see when I pop the hood are some bright blue hoses....

I know a guy with red, and I really like them. The blue was just too much, and doesn't match ANYTHING in the engine bay.

Kevin,

This thread is no good without a pic. I think you are afraid that if you post a pic, a vast majority of the group will like the blue.

I did not think the PI-Thons fitted well or maybe it was it the look...anyway..I used regular screw down clamps on my Samco hoses

Anyone have pics of their pithon locks installed? I am about to install mine and there doesn't seem to be fitting for the 8" upper rad hose that has a bend shaped into it. It's the fairly thick hose located between the rad and the overflow tank. Any suggestions?
