I went to fill my tank and the gas guy with a huge attatude says "well" and I said can you fill it "GOLD" please and looked and walked to pump.. I was B.Sing with my Girlfriend and look over and saw regular 87 in my car.. That was it!! I got out of the car and called this guy every name in the book and told him to get that out of my car!! Now this guy was worried he took it out and why is this bad?? now im fuming I have to put 91+ octane in!! So i look how much went in and was about half a tank. He filled the rest with the Gold for free.. He was no longer a misriable S.O.A.B. Now what will happen will I get any pinging or anything bad to the motor??

 

I wouldnt tow a boat with that gas, or race up a hill at redline, but past that you'll be ok.. just dont beat on the car with that gas.. it will retard the timing and wont really care if you drive normally

Yesterday about 6:30pm I pulled into a local gas station, turned the engine off, gas man came over and I clearly said "$20 SUPER" ... Me and my girl friend were talking, when I just happen to glance over her shoulder and see 87 octane lit up!! I wanted to kill that FU*KER, I wasnt as lucky as you to catch it that early.. But its alright, ill burn through it fast with my daily long hauls..

So I officially added that gas station to my do not return list!

yah LOL full service is soooooooo 1950. Back then they would fill her up, check your fluid levels, all with a smile!

I personnaly would not let the "gas guy" do it for free, much less
pay extra for it. What about the "guy" letting the gas residue spill
on the paint, scratching the gas hatch with the nozzel etc. etc.
Just do it yourself, unless you are disabled, in which case I apologize.

In the State of NJ its ILLEGAL to Pump your own gas, there is no Self Serve :-(

Hahaha, 'Non Self-Serve' (full service hasn't been around for years) is for lazy peeps or for states that don't trust their drivers to pump their own gas (????????). Some of these non self serve gas jockeys rate right up there with parking valets and grease monkeys.

its always high comedy to watch the oasis gas stations (in NJ).. Tourists dont know they arent supposed to touch the gas pump. There is always a tense/awkward moment when the attentant comes over and tells them to step away. Actually the ones I saw were cool about it, but the tourists were the ones freaking out. embarrased I guess. I was a tourist too, but it only took about 5 secs in line to realize something was up... thank god I was in a rental. Those attendants arent very "attentive" :/

I would start voting out the F*&^ing lawmakers
in whatever state you are living in. I have not had anyone
pump my gas for me in my entire life. Won't even let
my wife do it. Sheeeesh! What a backward state you live in!

wow, backward? thats a bold statement. I dont like anyone pumping my gas, but next time you see someone smoking on their cellphone while pumping gas on their shoes, you'll know why the stupid people have to be protected from themselves. I dont agree with that NJ law at all, but I wouldnt call them backward.. given environmental problems from fumes while pumping and spills, expect it coming to a state near you sometime.

Our government intrudes way too much on our lives. The jerks
talking on the phone, pumping gas and smoking deserve to flame
up. I have not seen anyone use a full service gas station is so many
years. It is a suprise to me that New Jersey has such a law. How
many other states have this on on their books?
