quick question about z tube

While attempting, not so well, to install the z tube, I got to the point in the first pic and then decided it was too much. I loosened the clamp on pic 2. My Q is how tight do I need to tighten the clamp back up. Kinda nervous about driving it now.

not to tight just enough where you can no longer turn the screw with minimal force

Z tube requires 3 connections total... 2 hose clamps (arount the tube, tighten with a 10mm socket or a philips screwdriver) and that breather hose you show in the first picture

to loosen or tighten the breather hose, just get a pair of pliers and squeeze the two tabs together, the clamp will loosen. then slide the hose and clamp onto the nipple of the Z-tube and release.... should tighten up no problem.

as for the two hose clamps, you just need to tighten them until the tube is totally secure... you'll know when, b/c you won't be able to pull the connections out.

then just replace the screw that holds the Z-tube bracket onto the plenum (near the oil cap) and you should be good to go.
