Intercooler Question

Is there any benefit at all to an aftermarket intercooler for a N/A car? My instinct says no, but I'm curious to see the other opinions out there.

No, it's like getting a cold air intake basically. You'd have a really long intake pipe so it wouldn't be beneficial. And you won't have enough pressure to get more cold air into the engine like with FI. So what I think you're looking for is a cold air intake from injen or nismo

no. an intercooler would be detrimental to a naturally apirated driven car.

an intercooler is a device to cool down compressed charged air from a force induction accessory such as a turbocharger or a supercharger. even though the charged air cools, the intercooler drops the airflow of the incoming air.

an airflow drop for a naturally aspirated car will lose performance. for a cooler scoop of air, it's best to go for a cold air/ram style ducting.

Thanks for the quick answers. I thought that would be the case, but was just curious.
