Waiting for Plenum... AHH!!!!

Okay its been a pretty long time waiting for my APS plenum, I'm dying from the wait, and I'm not gonna pay 450 + shipping for one to get it now. SO, my delimma is... should I keep waiting? or just spring for a crawford cast one? Its cheaper and uglier, but it can be here in a few days, maybe day after tomorrow if I so choose. Do you guys think the wait is worth it? I'm going FI pretty soon 100% so what should I do?

Same thing happened while I was waiting for my exhaust, so I went and bought a used one and i'm 100% happy with that.... what should I do... what should I do... I'm going nuts here. Buying all these parts I think I caught the mod bug, I want to install something now...

Here's a new, right out of the box, Tall Boy and a used Crawford Cast Plenum.

For ~$450 just get the Crawford Polished Plenum. It's a cast plenum that they shine up rather nicely. This plenum would look PERFECT next to a polished Vortech S/C kit.

When I read the first post I was wondering if you would post pics... Ironically it looks like the Tall Boy is used and the Crawford is new - even though it's the other way around.

BTW, 2slo2bfurious, have you considered a spacer? I'm running 1/2" as are many others... I couldn’t be happier!

You buy the NEW Crawford Cast Plenum for $350 and then you pay someone $100 to polish it for you.

You've been gone for awhile Russ. You do realize that there is no longer a core charge, right? (just for you big guy)

lol, Didn't notice that before either, really nice toes!

Placed my order this morning, should be here monday

I might try to polish it myself, got my trusty dremel and flap wheel and polishing wheel and compound , chances are I'll get lazy and just keep it black, cut up my engine cover, and leave it at that. I do have to admit neff's engine bay is real real pretty.

Maybe I'll get a T-netics kit, upgrade the turbo to a bigger one and get it in a polished finish and polish the plenum *mmmmm*... that would be just as shiny as neff's *bling *bling (*-*)

I had the same problem. The APS plenum was the first thing I ordered for my G & ends up being the last thing I get.I first ordered mine back in the first week of february.August came and still no plenum from SGP performance.I finally sent an e-mail to APS & they responded imidately, to call grdperformance.com . I called them up & they had it in stock.Recieved it in 5 days.I am very pleased with the performance.
