Just installed the Motordyne Copper Iso-Thermal upgrade.
Here's a few pics.
I'll write up a few impressions after I've put a few miles on.
On the initial test run, I couldn't believe how much cooler the plenum was to the touch.

I'll post up some initial impressions later this week.
On Friday we'll be headed out on a 2000 mile roard trip from Toronto to our East coast meet;
Then down to Boston and back home through Vermont.
We should be above & below the 55° threshold many times,
so it should be a good real world test for the copper thermal isolator.

I'm most interested in what that mod does to gas mileage.

1. from the intake manifold (block heat)
2. from the throtle body (circulating coolant)
If you've ever touched the air plenum after your car has been running,
you know that you can barely touch it.
After the mod I could lay my hands on the plenum & it was cool as a cucumber.
This gives you cooler air entering the engine which = better performance.

FWIW, here's a few install tips for those that buy the Copper IT kit (CIT).
------------------------------------
1. Loosen the TB bolts b4 taking off the upper plenum, they are very tight.
2. make sure you have a set of GOOD quality metric allen wrenches
3. DO NOT unplug the TB from the harness or it will have to be reprogrammed!
4. After the upper plenum is removed install the CIT next, to seal the coolant lines.
5. When installing the CIT slide the hose clamps off the hose & onto the copper tube.
Then connect the hose & slide the clamp back down.
The ferrule on the tube is larger than OEM & it's difficult to slide the clamp over.
6. Be discrete with the amount of heat sink grease applied.
If you use too much it will squeeze into the TB when you tighten up the bolts.

Since they're just replacing OEM gaskets on the intake manifold & TB.
There'll just be a couple of extra parts (post spacers) that you don't need.

The regular Iso thermal with the manual valve would be fine.
