Stillen Engine Damper Question

I had my engine damper installed today, and I am feeling excessive vibrations in the car, my car is idleing lower and when I engage first gear it starts to vibrate and rattle really hard these sounds are comming from the right side of the car where the damper is located, is this normal? also if I try to engage first gear by letting the clutch out really slowly, It vibrates and rattles even worse then my car stalls, I usually let the clutch out really slowly with out using the gas to get it rolling, but I can no longer do this because the car vibrates and rattles like crazy then stalls. Can some one please let me know if this is normal or did they screw up the install, thank in advance

Well let's see. Your car has resonant frequencies that will jar your brains out. Knowing this, Nissan hired degreed engineers with special intrests in dynamic analysist to determined the exact frequency ranges that your engine underwent. They determined that the engine needed to have isolators placed under the engine mounts to keep the vibration out of the cabin.

You then chose to go give a solid path for the vibrations to bypass the isolators and transmit these frequencies into your car. You do this and then wonder if your latest mod is the cause of these "new" vibrations your feeling?

I'm confused...

Sorry, I had to... but the stalling thing is probably you not applying enough pressure on the clutch as your foot is being vibrated right off of the engagement point. Just go drive your car hard and tell us how it feels.

You install a mod that keeps your engine from moving as much and then wonder why you feel more vibrations in the cabin. Hello Of course the vibrations from the engine are being restricted by the damper and going through that into your cabin!

hey neff i can guarantee u that its not my driving, and my foot is not being vibrated off the engagement point. as far as the vibration in the cabin im not worried about that, i assumed that it would cause more interior vibration. my main concern is the heavy vibration and rattling sound on the right side of the car when i'm releasing the clutch. also the fact that my car idling lower doesnt make much sense

You may have knocked loose a wire or two in the engine compartment, and now a cylinder is not firing. Those would cause lower idle, more vibration, etc... while possibly mpt throwing a check engine light.

wow. i am really sorry to hear that man. I was actually amazed how great the engine damper is. I honestly love the **** out of it. It makes shifting sooo much better, it just changed the car. Now, i have ZERO problems like you, except minor minor new sounds in the cabin during clutch engament only during a stop. Sounds like you messed somthing up, or its somthing mental.

Where are you located? if your located in socal bring your car to street image and have them check it out, they installed mine and other customers perfectly.
