if i had to do some na mods i would probally first do an intake, then plenum spacer, after that and electronic exaust cutout, which is less expensive than a full exaust and will yeild better gains, and wen u want to go bac to stock u literally hit a switch! You have the exaust right out of the headers! no cats muflers, silencers,resinators or anything also very raspy! i like the raspyness sometimes but wen u get sick of it like me u hit a switch. maybe after that i would go lightwheels and then maybe the clutch and flywheel package. oh wait maybe b4 id do that i would get the u-tech to get better gains out of the breathing mods i heard that u could do a launch control with that! cool feature!

lol then I go out and have a run in with a Viper tonight.. made me realize why I went the twin turbo route all over again..

I have a friend with an Evo that has the open DP mod you speak of, it does wonders for turbo cars.. just loud as hell. I agree it is a great mod though.
may I ask what is the difference between all the lightweight flywheels and clutch? I'm in the market for one and there are so many different ones.. like nismo, UR, JWT, tilton... by the way, are u talking about the "street" tilton? I remember there are other tiltons but i cant remember what they were called? Semi-street or somethin?
I had the Semi Street Tilton assembly before, a friend has the street set up and said it is much easier to drive.

JWT flywheel 14lbs
Nismo is 23lbs I believe
Stillen is 14.7 lbs
UR is 13lbs
Tilton is 8lbs

That would be the Final Drive that effects the top speed, with the 3.5 I think the top speed is close to 200mph, with the 3.9 Final drive I believe it is 167mph, since the speedometer does not pass 160mph I dont think it would really matter.
just got tilton set up lately
just got the street set-up by tilton from Performance Nissan down in cali... sold it to me for 1 grand even.. twin plate clutch and the 8lb flywheel which is amazing, revs up like a bike now... they also gave me this clutch pedal stopper to install and it's amazing! it basically prevents you from pushing the pedal down past a certain point so you can set it up almost right at engagement point so as soon as you step off the clutch you're engaging.. it's amazing, i absolutely LOVE it...
i guess ONE minor thing that pisses me off is getting up and going out of 1st gear... you have to keep the rpm's at 3k+ and go pretty quick with the clutch release or else you are slipping the clutch (makes squeaking noises which are deemed "bad" by Performance Nissan tech guys that i spoke with)... but you get used to it, just turn off traction control and let it rip, it's so easy to wheel spin now with all that torque getting sent to the wheels...
clutch grip is amazing and if you install that pedal at the sweet spot all you do is push in the pedal, shift gears, keep your clutch pedal down, press gas and it auto-engages for you since it's so close to engagement as it is... amazingly smooth shifts and grab is probably twice as srtong as stock
stop n go traffic is a pain in the *** sometimes i suppose, mainly because i feel like im ruining the clutch... but then when you get room to move just rip on it and you're glad you spent that money... oh and it sounds badass.. everyone know's whats up when they hear it idle or when youre accelerating below 2,300 rpm you still get that loud rattle.. i dont know... it sounds like you got some mean stuff under the hood, people are scared and i love the sound too

I hear that getting the idle bumped up really helps with the driveability and getting rid of that cement mixer sound.
