I just installed the nismo CAI and everything went smoothly, only one question. Now, when shifting gears and giving it a hint of gas to do minor rev matching, I can hear a faint turbo-sounding whistle that lasts a fraction of a second. I've read about this whistle on the forums, but I'm just clarifying that what I am experiencing is in fact normal.

cupO was the install easy, im thinking about getting the NISMO also, do you feel any power gains? also where did you get yours from? Thanx.

 

The install was pretty straight forward (followed the guide from g-owners.com). To be honest, I wasn't expecting any power gains but boy was I surprised. In first / second gear now, around 3000 - 6000 RPMS the car feels quite a bit more powerfull and it also has a nice new sound.

I bought mine off ebay for $230 shipped, and it came from a Nissan dealership in IL.
