When installing a plenum or spacer we recommend removing the oil fill cap, lifting the rubber ring off the fill tube and replacing the fill cap, prior to starting your installation. This prevents the rubber ring from getting sandwitched between the mating flanges and therefore a vacuum leak. It's happened more than once.
