Arrow anyone have rpm problems after installing z tube and popcharger

i just installed my popcharger and z tube all at once... i'm almost certain i installed them properly... the sound difference is freakin amazing... the only thing that's wrong is that when i accelerate hard during 2nd-6th gear my rpm guage shoots up to, for example, 6k and then it drops back down to like 4k... and i can feel it do this...

anyone else have this problem? or anything similar to it?

sam.

Hmmm . . . As you are on the throttle in the said gears your R's reach 6000 and then drop down to 4000 while you are still on the throttle?

like.... let's say i'm in 2nd gear... and i'm accelerating pretty hard into 3rd. so i pop it into 3rd and the rpm jumps to like 5/6k and then when it feels like the gears engage it drops back down to like 2/3k... i dunno if this helps... kind of a newbie driver. lol

sounds like you're slipping the clutch (revving the motor before the clutch engages)

I would have someone else with a bit more experience driving a manual tranny, drive your car and see what happens.

no i'm pretty sure i'm not slipping the clutch... and it happens when the gears engage... i feel the gears engage and then it revs high and drops... it didn't do that before i installed the popcharger and z tube. could it be because the intake isn't getting enough air?
