how to remove engine cover

I am trying to paint my engine cover, and i need to remove it. How do i remove those 4 bolts hlolding it down? anyone know what size the bolts are? I bought a 7/16 size bit and its not reaching the bolt at all..please help

need metric ratchet set - i think it was 10mm for cover

Make sure the 10mm socket is deep enough for the 'Acorn' type nuts.

All nuts and bolts on European and Japanese cars are
metric! Those are 10 millimeter bolts on the engine cover.
Go invest in a good set of metric socket wrenches.

Thanks a lot guys. Damn i knew it. The service guy said it was a 10, but when i went to their tool bin to look for a bit, all i saw were fractions, so i just went up the next size from 3/8, which was 7/16 i should have listened to the service guy, my bad, thanks for all your help guys

Your driving a Japnese car. It's not an American car that uses SAE.

Europeans and Japnese car's only use Metric.
