Exclamation problems with RPM after installing popcharger and z tube

This happened after i installed the JWT popcharger and Z tube...

Basically what happens is when i'm in any gear, and im driving normally and i feel like accelerating hard, i press the accelerator all the way down, and my RPM jumps a couple thousand, for example, from 2k to 4 or 5k. and then it drops down to about 3k. This is when i'm in a gear. it's not clutch slippage, but it happens when i'm shifting too. When i'm shifiting I can feel the gears engage, but the car doesn't accelerate until it does that little RPM thingy. what is wrong with my car?!

could this be b/c the intake isn't getting enough air? any other possible theories?

help me out...

I don't see how this could be anything but a drivetrain problem. AFAIK, it's impossible for the car's RPM's to climb with the clutch fully engaged without the car accelerating unless something's slipping.

So either the clutch isn't fully engaged, or it's burned up and slipping. I'm no mechanic, but that'd be my take.

i don't think this is intake related as hundreds of members on here are running this setup (myself included).

my car sorta does the same thing, but it's the 5AT that is to blame in my case... in MM mode if i lift off the gas when i shift and then stab it again, sometimes the tranny has to give a 2nd thought to what gear it wants to be in. i agree with nas4a that on a 6mt that is in gear, i don't see how the engine can rev up without corresponding acceleration unless the clutch is slipping

if you wanna remove the popcharger for your trip to the dealer that isn't a big deal. i can't see any dealership, even a very **** one, getting upset about the Z-tube... the thing has a Nissan part number on it

is it just the car shifting into a lower gear? every auto will rev up a little before it drops down.
