To start things out for the Holiday’s we’ve put together two dynamite turbo packages for the G35. In addition to offering special pricing on the Turbonetics Single Turbo Kit, we’ve included some important upgrades we developed after encountering several items installing these kits on the 350Z. These upgrades perfect the kit and make installation a breeze for our 350Z Turbonetics customers – so we’d like to offer the same upgrades for the G35!

AS A SPECIAL added BONUS we are going to include the AAM Oil Pan Spacer Kit at no additional cost! The AAM Oil Pan Spacer was specifically designed for our customers with the Vortech and Turbonetics forced induction kits to eliminate oil leaks, retail the factory oil pan (no need to modify), and increase oil cooling capacity for better reliability.

With the Turbonetics kit specifically you have to tap the factory oil pan for the turbocharger oil return line. Not only does this make it extremely difficult to return your G35/350Z back to stock down the road if you so choose, it is extremely common for tapped oil pans to develop leaks. The AAM Oil Pan Spacer eliminates both these problems. It does so by coming pre-tapped for the Turbonetics turbocharger oil return line – no cutting and tapping necessary! Additional benefits of the AAM Oil Pan Spacer are added oil capacity, increased oil cooling, and easy integration of an oil temperature gauge sensor as it comes with additional pre-tapped provisions for future leak-free upgrades.

Turbonetics Single Turbo Stage 2

For those of you that would like a little extra power and do not want to be limited by the Turbonetics ECU Flash (1. many 350Z’s experience a hesitation around 6200-6,500rpm from running too rich with the Turbonetics programming and 2. the ECU Flash does not allow the end-user or tuner to make necessary fuel/timing adjustments) we have the AAM Turbonetics Stage 2 upgrade available.

The AAM Turbonetics Stage 2 upgrade replaces the Turbonetics ECU Flash with the TurboXS UTEC fuel controller and map sensor upgrade. The UTEC fuel controller is the ultimate user tunable engine management system available for the 350Z and G35. We became familiar with the UTEC a while ago where we were asked to help dyno test the UTEC on a 350Z making over 500rwhp. We were so impressed with the results of the UTEC that we made an arrangement to test one on our shop 350Z. In summary, the 350Z/G35 UTEC can be described as a piggy-back engine controller (ie. GReddy E-Manage Ultimate, Unichip, Split Second) under vacuum that becomes a stand alone engine management system under boost (full unrestricted control of fuel and timing). Basically the fuel computers we’ve previously used modify signals to manipulate the factory ECU into delivering different amounts of fuel and timing to the car. This does work but is not ideal as the factory computer can change its base mapping = the car will run with different fuel and timing than setup on the dyno and different fuel and timing than wanted. The UTEC eliminates this potentially engine damaging problem by bypassing the ECU altogether under boost. Under boost the UTEC takes complete control and directly sends fuel and timing commands to the injectors and ignition coils – the factory ECU is taken out of the loop and therefore cannot make any adjustments!

The UTEC also had many other features including the ability to eliminate the MAF for more air flow, advanced knock control, and complete data logging that can be viewed on your laptop computer.

i like the prices but FI is risky business. im hoping the kit and its installers are more thorough than the post suggests.

 

will this work on a 2003.5 sedan 5AT? i have a valve body upgrade already.

 

Will this work on a 2004 5AT coupe?

My understanding was the kit was only 6MT tested. If this is true, please let us AT owners know when it's ready to go for us (and hopefully you'll still offer a special deal for the early AT adopters!).
