Another happy Hyper-Ground kit user

I received my 6 Wire Hyper-Ground/Earthing kit from Gordee today and installed it. I followed everything except for the 6th wire, I choose to attach the wire to the stock airbox and ground point on the front of the engine (instead of the right strut tower). I also added wiring loom near the intake mainfold and anywhere that touches anypart of the engine so I won't melt the wires. I took it out for a test run and found that my G drives WAY SMOOTHER! I couldn't feel that much in performance, but I'm so happy that my G doesn't jerk at low crawling speeds (i.e. traffic). Before it felt like someone driving a stick for the first time when in traffic, that's how jerky it was. My shifts are much smoother and quicker then before. For the money, this is one of the best improvements I've made so far on my G.

Re: Another happy Hyper-Ground kit user

Really...so this improves the low end jerkiness? Is this pretty typical? I have to say I'm fairly skeptical of the whole grounding kit thing...it just seems like such a simple modification would (and should) have been done at the factory. But if it does what you say I might look into it...

Re: Another happy Hyper-Ground kit user

hey i was skeptical as well, then i bought mine from Happies, it was only $40 shipped, so i figured, Why not? for $40 you can't go wrong. There are no adverse affects, since your stock grounding system stays intact. This kit will just improve.

Mani, I was skeptical as well but for $65 for 6 wires and the positive feedback from this forum, I decided to give it a shot.

Rambo, it's just basic wiring loom that fits over the 4 gauge wire. Home Depot should have it, I think it was 1/4 thick.

ECU reset has nothing to do with it. When I installed my five wire kit, I did not reset the ECU, in fact I have never reset the ECU. The car is still much smoother than it was before the installation, and it's been on for over two monhs now. It's the insomnee (spelling?) unit. Top Quality.

Re: Another happy Hyper-Ground kit user

Mani, there is a huge thread over in the Tech+Mods forum...
Basically I noticed quicker shifting (6MT) and quicker rev response (up and down)
My brother noticed the SAME thing, i hadnt even told him about the kit and he noticed the smoothness/quickness.

$40 kit can be obtained from Happies317 i believe is his username, search the forums and you'll find it.
