Quick question???

Background (if you care): Hey guys, I have a trip to the dealer tomorrow for warranty clutch work. Just to be safe I took off my UTR chrome tube and put the stock intake tube back on. I left the K&N filter and MREV in, but just put the engine cover one, should be fine.

Question: In the Process of installed OEM tube I dropped the bolt that fastens the side of the tube to the side of the engine. The tube still seems secure and it works fine. I heard the bolt drop to the bottom of the engine bay and it seems like it landed on the plastic undercover. Is it ok to run the car like this or could the lose bolt under there damage something? Suggestions? Do you think it will fall out when driving so the dealer wont see a bolt fall out when they loosen the cover?

Cliff notes: Dropped bolt to bottom of engine bay, landed on plastic undercover. Ok to drive like this and will it fall out during driving?

Thanks a lot
-Mike

jack your car up and take the splash gaurd off, get the bolt and then put the bolt back where it belongs, or you could pull it out with one of those long tools with the magnet on the end. you dont want a lose bolt down there it could jump up into your pullys and snap ur belt. or somthing else

Ya I tried the magnet approach, doesnt really work because it gets stuck to everything else on the way down and you cant get the bolt. No chance it will slip out the back of the cover?

well after a little more feeling around I could hear the bolt rattle when I tapped the undercover right behind that front plastic peice. After a few times of me tapping on it it stopped shaking around, so it must have gone somewhere and settled in that undercover. Im sure it will come out eventually (magnet did not work)
