03 G35Coupe 300hp

03 G35 Coupe has 280 crank horse power... If you put a Z-tube w/pop charger, UR Pullies and fuji exhaust you think you would be close to 300hp or would you need headers and high flow cats?? Has anyone done a Dyno run with some basic bolt ons??

That because the 03 G's have 260hp Max engine (at) and 280hp Max engine (Mt)... therefore since on a dyno you see rwhp you will get only 230-250 max.

z-tube- 5-7 hp
pullies- not much
exhaust- 15-20
=
280

Sorry but you are wrong about that... The sedan has 260hp and the Coupes have 280hp no matter if its a Auto or a MT... http://www.intellichoice.com/reports...niti/model/G35

i could be wrong, but i believe the exhaust is only good for like 7 hp. (this is what someone who does r and d on g35's told me the hks high power produces on a dyno). But like i said, i could be wrong. For adding the most peak hp to an 03, get a MD 1/2" spacer.

well what did Nissan do to the 06 G35 MT coupe to have 298hp?? How is that engine differen't?? Plus is this statement true "The 350Z-Tube is what makes the difference between the 287HP 350Z Motor and 280HP G35 Motor" is this true??

Sorry to sound ignorant, but can some one please explain to me the difference between HP at the Crank and HP at the wheels. If HP at the wheels is what we actually measure our cars by, then whats the point of even listing crank HP? Thanks

because that number is inflated and looks better when you are trying to sell cars.

somone correct me if im wrong, but I think......
03-04 G's have 280 HP MT&AT
05-06 G's have 280 for AT& 298 for MT
same with the Z's
the 298hp MT's engines contain diffrent components in the engine that boost the HP up, there reffered to as the REV-up motors.
Im not sure about the 7hp gain form the Z-tube, im pretty sure the Z-tube dosnt add 7hp...more like 2 or 4...

Most, if not all factory engines are rated from the crankshaft. RWHP is what counts most depending on what type of options you have AT, 6MT, 4WD. power rating will change on what transmission you have. Reason being most AT will run less timing. The 05 & 06 6mt
engines have some new parts that make more power at higher rpm's. Cam timing, cylinder heads, piston dome, better rod's & bolts, revised lower plenum (shorter runners) and possibly a revised ECU with different maps. Plus a very nice windage tray setup for the oil pan.
The biggest thing I see between the 350Z & G35 IS the Z has the z-tube and a one piece driveshaft with less total weight. The 350Z is rated at 300hp
and the g35 is rated at 298hp called or nic named REV-UP engine.
