I just bought a used Nismo oil cap and the Nismo isn't straight across when the oil cap is installed. I tried to pick off the sticker/plate to no avail. Has anyone run across this? Is everyone elses misaligned as well?

 

That would be previous user error. When its brand new you put the cap on to proper tightness then you apply the Nismo decal yourself.

 

the newer one turns like the gas cap =D

If you bought it off e-bay, there's no guarantee that it's actually NISMO. Lots of fake, poorly made parts out there sold as NISMO. All it takes is a cheap supply from China or Taiwan or India, and an order of stickers from the local Decal maker.

 

Bought it off another forum member along w/ Nismo radiator cap, right hand side battery cover, and Nissan front grill emblem. It came in a Nismo box & look exactly like a genuine Nismo oil cap. I have no reason to believe it's a fake.

Anyways, no luck yet trying to peel that thing off....sux. I even tried while the engine was hot, to see if the adhesive would soften up. I can't get anything underneath the sticker to peel it back.
