idle issues

Hey guys im hoping someone can help me out here. I have a 9psi procharger with all the support mods including bigger pe injectors etc custom flash from techno Sq. recently i am having trouble idling. I would just let it idle and the car would just eventually flutter out and die. I can easyly start it up again but its rather annoying. Anyone have this issue after going FI? when i take off the supercharger belt the car idles fine. can i just get the idle upped to about 800 rpms (that seems to be where the car wants to idle without dyin) or is this a seroius tune issue? Any help would be great.

Meech

Idle by definition is the rpm which nets zero excess power over that necessary to turn accessories and TC input if an automatic.

The supercharger and belt/pullies probably need 3-4 HP to turn them at idle, thus the need for more rpm to make enough.

Unless they put your car on a dyno with the supercharger installed and then tuned it, I'm guessing your "custom" ECU flash is just another base setting for the supercharger. If this is the case, get your car fine tuned.

I have a procharger and i experienced really bad idle at one point.. it was due to the wrong spring on my BOV that stayed ~10% open at idle causing a vacuum leak..

I'm assuming you ar eusing teh stock bypass valve? it could stuck open or something? or maybe you have a lose pipe somewhere.. I see you have a custom intercooler setup

any pics of it?

Yea i have a full custom intercooler setup but the cheap bypass valve. The car has a good tune but i plan on something much better soon. However I did check the bypass valve and it seems to be the problem. Anyone know if i the dealer can flash my ecu to idle higher?> thanks

Yes i have pix of my intercooler setup ill post them soon as i get a new usb cord for my digi.
