Supercharger Question

My buddy just had a Comptech supercharger installed on his CL-S. The charger is used. After installing everything it cranked right up and seemed to be fine. The charger now is making a kind of knocking sound. Not consistent but sporadic . Not sure what it is or if anyone can help me with this question. Maybe it is the bearings??? Does anyone have an idea?

could be the piping for the intercooler rattling against the inner fender well of the car...my Vortech did that on my G.

With the design of the comptech the piping is in the engine bay unless it would be the airbox. But that is bolted down. I will double check and see. There is no other piping because he doesn't have a intercooler. I was just curious to see if anyone with a twin screw supercharger had any situation like this happen to them. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, I really don't know why I said that but I meant that he didn't have the intercooler and there is not alot of piping anyway just a couple elbows. I listened to it again last night and it sounds like there is something loose internaly on the actual charger itself. He said he spoke with some other people who own the same charger and they described it as a loose bearing sound and that was normal. I just don't think a charger is supposed to sound like that but....who knows, thanks again
