M3 territory?

Just got my headers installed today, and my car seems to pull ALOT harder with the dual exhaust and test pipes as well (besides the screaming noises that now come from the car) question is would i be in M3 territory by any chance? Also is a tune NECESSARY yet? would i be running lean enough that may be dangerous?
thanks

There's a guy in Socal, his username is "ISMSOLUTIONS"....

He's got an Automatic G with quite a bit of mods, he claims he can mess with them. Look up his Sig and threads for more info. I'm sure he'll chime in here too.

i don't know about an M3, but i can take an 03 911 (see sig for mods)

how do i know that i can whoop on a 911 - because i own a stock one

rather interesting; stock for stock 911 was faster; throw on the plenum and it was still faster but not by much (G really died out after 4500rpm pre-plenum), headers+hfcs = G pulling, hehe ^_^

Did the lightened crank pulley help a lot?

hahaha, I think you'll need a lot more than headers and exhaust!! ISMSOLUTIONS'S is not your ordinary bolt-on setup

If you can run mid to low 13's then you have a chance....

i don't think headers alone will do it.... i had headers, pleneum, HF Cats, intake, td exhaust, crank pulley, and it was a close race....... it pulls hard, you feel the torque but the speed isn't going to improve that much that you can pull a lot from an M3.....

thing is, with my 350z 5AT headers, test pipes and exhaust ive pulled on an M3. the G FEELS faster than this car probably b/c its a 6MT. if i go with the plenum/spacer i think id be on par with them?? i mean the car pulls SOO much harder now. its pretty sick. 2nd gear shift the tires completely break loose. maybe im just an amazing driver, what can i say?? lol

Dude,

You gotta take me for a ride one of these days now that you've got your headers installed.

Have you gotten your car dyno'd at all?

I assume we are talking about an E46 M3 and not the E36. Using the E46, they SHOULD be able to take even a pretty modified G that is still NA. The only thng I can figure about running all over them with mild bolt ons is that they haven't turned off their traction control and aren't in sport mode and this that and the other. There are a lot of buttons to be pressed before they get all 333 ponies out of them. So that may have been the case, they may have been crappy drivers, you may be a good driver. A lot of factors there but you would have to have some pretty significant mods to still be NA and be able to pull on one.

There was another thread about this and i think ultimately the conclusion was to go FI to beat one because to squeeze all the power out of the G and stay NA woud cost more than an SC or TT kit.

from a dig, i know its REALLY hard to beat one. not expecting that. More on a roll and on the highway where the VQ's are pretty strong. hell if i could mess with some 03 911's thatd be pretty sweet too.

for sure man. i didnt have them on at the meet on saturday, but got them on Sunday. My mechanic knocked it all out in 2 hours. this guy is amazing. i asked him how much he wanted for install? He said go buy me some coffee and one dollar! i was like lol wtf? I opted to give him 170 instead. As for dyno, im gonna wait til i get the spacer and pulleys, and get a dyno tune at the same time...

btw we gotta hit up spot again or something. that shiz was fun
