!!More Horsepower!!

I installed a Z-Tube and K&N Filter and what a difference! Really! My car is way more robust, acceleration from start and at speed are noticeable! Now here is the cherry on the pie...The exhause note WOW! I swear when the RPM is above 4g, I can feel the exhaust grown in the peddle..insane!

Add a plenum spacer to put your Z tube/K&N combo to work. Enjoy!

i thought Ztube is just a sound mod, there is very little power gain if any.

i installed a ztube and k&n drop-in months after buying my G. I really didn't notice a difference sound or performance wise. Last night I installed the JWT Pop Charger. Now I definitely can feel a much quicker response and the GROWL. After trading a couple emails with Tony (Mr. Motordyne), I should notice a big difference once I install my 1/2" MD spacer. After researching on here I think the z-tube + pop-charger + MD spacer is the way to go. that will pretty much complete the engine for me.

I've noticed a lot of guys here who say "I didn't notice any power gain after the z-tube/K&N upgrade" are the ones who did this upgrade soon after buying their G. I've had my G for almost 2 years and just recently did this upgrade and DEFINITELY notice an increase in power...my car is more robust and take off from a standing start has jumped. Maybe it'll take "knowing" your car a lil more than a few month to feel the power gain. In addition if you look through the G's tube and compared to the Z tube you'll see that the 2 bends are more pronounced in the G's tube...The Z's tube has a more straight through passage...more unobstructed flow compared to the Z...more air equals slightly more power

Personally, I feel that the Z tube and a drop-in filter combo alone does not afford for more than a bit more intake noise. However, if you combine that with a MD plenum spacer . . . You will defintely feel a change for the better. I way I see it . . . The Z tube/drop-in filter combo will allow more air to enter the plenum. Now, combine that with a MD plenum spacer and you will defintely get that additional air down pass the plenum where it really counts.

One thing that gets overlooked when people install Z-tube/K&N or CAI or Intake "X"... is that their current air filter could be dirty.

This means they're swapping in a new "clean" intake, thus improving air flow??

Or... it could all be what we all love... the "Butt Dyno" or the "Placebo" effect from the sounds.

We've all said that at one point or another... I have news for you my friend, it sounds like you've caught the mod bug - and we can all attest to the fact that once that happens... there is no such thing as "pretty much complete"!

Happy modding!
