Are these used? Were the O-ring gaskets replaced?

Also, I'm assuming the "brand new" gaskets are the ones that seal the edge of the covers, correct?

They are used with the new gaskets that seal the edge. O rings are still the oem used ones. However I am pulling the sale ad down and these are going on my motor that is being sold
