Yeah I dont park next to anyone at Wal-Mart when I do go..not to often...I learned really quick after I saw a shopping cart scream across the parking lot right into my front passenger side fender when I walked out one evening...wasnt very pretty....still have the dent.

There are parking blocks in every parking spot in our Garage here...

 

I almost always back into parking spots, so no worry about pulling in too far.
