Autocross this Saturday, Sept 13 in Mineral Wells

The S2k and Miata folks are holding one of their regular autocross events. I highly recommend this event. It's a great group and they don't care what you drive. It's only 30 bucks for 4 morning and 4 afternoon runs, plus fun runs at the end if you hang around to help pick up cones.

I can't make it this time, but just wanted to throw this out there. More G/Z's need to come out for this! I think I've only seen one G out there before.

I went out once with my rental mustang (my goal was to not be last, sure enough I beat one Bimmer). I like those s2k guys and gals, they are a good bunch to run with. They have their own set of rules seperate from SCCA so it tends to be more fun and less competitive. I hadn't a chance to go out with the G because it's either at TWS or being repaired from TWS :/

All that and the track is a little unique itself for autocross in that there is asphalt changes (rough-smooth and small elevation changes) which you can notice in the car response if you're pushing it 100%.

I remember that. I think we talked a little bit that day.

I agree about the s2k bunch. I definitely enjoy their events more than other autocrosses.
