edit: if some of you guys are trying to buy somewhat authentic salsa or tortillas, try mexican meat markets. i know there is not a lot if any around the plano area but if you know of one then that's your best bet.

Hey Will, if you you do end up going to one of these stores or know of one, try to purchase the tortillas that are in a large cooler. they are fresh and sooo good. most of the time they will have 2 coolers, one for flour and the other for corn. just an fyi. GL

There is a local Mexican restaurant here in Keller that makes their own salsa which is just killer, we usually buy it by the pint. I can bring a along a pint with a bag of chips along with my usual beer contribution!

Have you ever been to Oscars in Haltom City?

They have the best chips and salsa I have ever had.

 

^The name of this place is Cavallero's - it's on 377 in South Keller between North Tarrant and Bear Creek. They also have just about the best tortilla soup we've ever had and we go there probably once a week just for soup and chips/salsa.

Never been to Oscars but I'm sure I've seen it before.

 

The salsa we usually get is their medium but they also have a HOT that I could grab as well!

 

That would be cool...HOT is good.

Everyone remember to bring your jackets...last time was pretty cold.

Oscars is about 7 miles south of that on 377.. I highly recommend it!!

We drive all the way from Los Colinas just to go eat there!
