Where's the FW love in these DFW meets?
 

Not trying to complain here, but part of the reason I hardly show up to meets is because they always seem to be in North Dallas or East Dallas (Garland) lately. Any reason why?

Is it just me? Seems like if this is the DFW G35 Owners Club it would be nice to see a meet/greet somewhere over on this side of town.

I live in South Fort Worth and driving all the way over to Garland for some Pho (and I love Pho) is kinda pushin' it for me. Same goes with meeting at Bone Daddy's in Plano/North Dallas, or McKinney, etc.

It would be nice to see something even in Arlington once in a while, but there's plenty of nice, big, open places in Fort Worth to have a meet.

If it's because most of the active members live on that side of town, I understand, just curious as to why it seems this way.

If someone sets it up, we'll try to make it. I mean I plan stuff that's close to me and most other members. But we've had a lot of meets on the west side of town. Arlington, Bedford, Grapevine, etc...

Just cuz I don't post a meet doesn't mean someone else can't coordinate. Logistically I don't know that area and don't know where a good spot would be.

Trinity Park is a nice big park.

Also, the River Legacy meet we had last year was fun. I enjoyed it and thought it went quite nicely.

I suggest having one in either of those places since it's a park, so it has barbeque pits and seating, shade, and room to throw a football/frisbee, etc.

I see all kinds of shows going on by Joe Pool Lake at Lynn Creek Park in the South side of Grand Prairie, if you are looking for a spot. Corvette meet there just a couple weeks ago.

Set the details for time, date, and location. Make it happen!

we used to have meets at Flips in grapevine. a little closer to you. we should organize that.. there's a huge parking lot at the main event right behind it that connects to flips..

ya know, I thought about this after the DNE meet thread... the DNE president himself lives in Arlington and he makes it to every single DNE, G, and then some meet. He misses a few of course, but he always makes the drive. Not expecting you to cause that's a lot of mileage and gas that he doesn't worry about. But still.

We have definitely had quite a few G meets in the Grapevine and Mid Cities area. Just when BeerViper is the only one who's near the meet location and he's had to miss the last few, we're end up putting it where most people are.

However, with all that said, I third/fourth/whatever the count is at now the notion to schedule something up! Many members have scheduled their own meet with great success. Where's TequilaG35 when I need him?
