Dayum, this isn't even somewhat close to Dallas. I will try to make it. Doubt I will be able to play any sports by then though.

I don't have a volleyball net but I do have a couple of beach volleyballs. I also have a basketball (28.5) if needed.

Hope you can make it. Sorry to hear about the crutches. I just had knee surgery a couple months ago, so I know how ya feel.

Weather should be nice, there is more shade than you can possibly need. They have giant covered pavilions that we can use as long as they aren't reserved...and these are the kind of pavilions you can park your car under...not like a small covered picnic area.

Bringing $5-10 worth of chips or potato salad or beans is a little different then paying $50, $70, or $100 for ribs and spending 6 hours making them, so that's why the humble request for a donation. I actually don't care too much if people don't pay me, it's more about people appreciating/enjoying them to me than anything. But if it were me on the other side of things, I'd happily pay someone a few bucks for doing all that work for strangers. In fact, you probably don't remember me but I remember when you cooked fajitas out at River Legacy Park a year ago and they were delicious and I offered you money to help pay for it but you generously declined.

In fact...as a challenge to all the Dallas folk that are being timid about responding...if we have 40 G's show up...I'll definitely cook up my ribs for FREE!!

The challenge comes from B's comment earlier:

So technically 40+ G's, but i'm game to opening it up to 40+ G's and Z's. I won't be stingy.

I talked to my friend that owns the meat processor, and he can hook it up. As long as it is at least 8 racks, it should be fine. There are 12 in a case, but he and I will take whatever you don't need (I do need to know in advance how many you need). It will be less than $2 a pound. Each rack is about $6, or so. I just need to know about a week ahead of time, so take your time deciding....

I'll drop 5 or 10 bucks for food. Just remind me there. Still thinking of something to bring. I was thinking of a cooler full of ice and big bag of charcoal at least.

Whats up with the list just 8 people still?

Oops, I responded to your PM before reading this. I'll give you a call in a couple days and let you know how many I'll need.

Isn't that on Friday? This is on Saturday in the afternoon. Just take 35W instead of 35E on your way home.

Don't worry about charcoal or anything that has to do with cooking supplies. I'll make sure to have that in case B shows up and wants to cook fajitas. I still need to scope out a good spot for the meet. I'll be doing that this weekend.

There's no way they will have the setup I'll need for cooking ribs so I'll be doing them at home and bringing them to the event. This way they'll be nice and warm and ready for eating as everyone shows up.

Don't worry...I still have faith in the Dallas crew that they'll come out of their shell and come to the other side of DFW.
