Thumbs up DFW -AUTOX - TMS OCT 24th

OKay guys, here is the next TMS EVENT!!!! We had a great turn out at the last one, Aug 7th, event #6!

8 runs!!!
AUTOCROSS!!!!!

Not the local SCCA 3 runs and your done for the day.......8 runs with Lone Star BMW Club AutoX event.

The event will be at TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY (BUS LOT). So there are NO TREES, NO POLES! great for the first timer! Restrooms are walking distance from pit area and makes this venue location very accommodating with near by restaurants as well, etc.

BIG PLUS - THIS IS A SMOOTH SEALED ASPHALT, NO LOOSE GRAVEL AND NO ROCK CHIP DAMAGE AT THIS TRACK LOCATION!

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT TRACK LOCATION FOR A BEGINNER DUE TO THE ZERO ISSUES AND GREAT ACCOMMODATIONS/LOCATION.

Come learn what the Z or G can handle, learn your car, Learn its limits, learn accident avoidance techniques, over all great experience!.............

INFO:
It is event number 8 here: - Read the page entirely!!! much info there!!!

Now THIS is GREAT opportunity for those that dont wanna mess up their ride (no drifting)

you can show up in your street tires - and leave in your street tires..

Wanna see how you REALLY handle your ride?....Im calling all you out - all your cars have serious negative camber (perfect for AUTO-X)

Ok ok....so apparently you DID post a thread up about this haha

I am REALLY tempted to just throw my ride out there and tackle this head on, but I think I might want to just spectate for my first time. This truly is a good opportunity for newbies, but I have never witnessed an auto-x event before and I would like a little exposure first. Either way, count me IN! (Edit: Plus, I just remembered that I don't even have a helmet...soo that kinda rules me out by default).

I can bring drinks...what is everyone down for? Soda? Gatorade? Water? Let me know.

Brit, helmets are available to rent at the event. I still use my old motorcycle helmet although I would much prefer an open face helmet for auto-x and track events. Also if you're not in the same round as others you could always borrow someone else's (albeit sweaty) helmet.

It looks like my week is shaping up so that I can attend, must be registered by Thursday so I hope this forecast for Sunday rain changes by tomorrow!!
