Weksos & Fatlace Presents: WEKFEST DFW! October 15, 2011
got accepted into the show!!! Just f.y.i to all attending the show and who get in. this is all written in the instructions but want to make sure we understand this rule as well. XDC Wasnt as strict being that it was an outdoor event. Since this an indoor event this will be very strict.
Vehicle Search:
There is a STRICT 1/8 tank of fuel level requirements & battery dis-connect regulations!
Due to some strict Facility Regulations and Rules, Security and Staff will be checking ALL VEHICLES for prohibited items. Please conform to rules so there are NO misunderstandings and delays ON YOUR END for not reading and complying with the rules!
NO OUTSIDE FOOD & BEVERAGES (which ALSO includes, Aluminum cans, Glass bottles, cooking/ bbq type grills, propane cooking / camping style grills & the like)
Once you have arrived at the staging area, you must provide the following to gain entry:
-Receipt of PayPal payment for registration
-Driver License for identification
-Signed waiver (attached in email – You must PRINT + SIGN and bring with you!)
-WEKFEST Decal (must be “center placed” on side of windshield – Driver’s Side)
Once the vehicle is staged in the venue or complex, engine must be remained off until the finale of the event. 1/8th of fuel in your tank (or less) is required! Fire Marshall will be checking!
There will be zero tolerance for those who do not comply with these requirements. Judging may start 1-2 hour after you are staged! Please be aware that Wekfest judging “may” start before actual show opens – We are hoping to start judging process before the crowds grow and also for YOU the participant can enjoy the show! We all know at other shows, waiting by your car during the show can be a pain waiting for judging. So please prep your car immediately after staging!

Got accepted to the show!! It says you have until September 16th to send payment otherwise your spot will be lost.
I don't want to go if the spots are limited and they're alot nicer rides than mine.. What do you all think? I mean I did get accepted after all.. However, I'm not sure how strict they are on who they give the spots to.

Deemo.. seriously, if you don't go and you got accepted, it's a slap in the face to those that didn't get a chance.. Man take advantage of your opportunity to thought of and among the elite in DFW dude.. Don't take this lightly.. It's an accomplishment in itself.
If anything, this should instill a sense of pride in you and your build. If you feel you're not worthy, take that as an opportunity to do some small mods to your car to make it stand out if you want..
There's PLENTY of things you can do in a month and a half if you set up a plan and execute efficiently.

Gotta cover for StanceNation, OpenClutch and Texas Finest magazine... You'll see photos all over the place from Wekfest, Cars and Coffee (This Saturday) and XDC... Time for everyone to bring out their finest.. I'm sure for THIS event, Super Street and maybe Import Tuner might make an appearance.

they obviously created the picture submission to keep half the trash that comes to rkc out. i think most any of us will be fine. scraped bumpers and beyond.
regardless i blew too much money on events between xdc, 2 autox, and the hpde. i find it hard to justify 55 to do another "show". i will come spectate if its under 10$ to get in. ill just be someones passenger.
