Now all Infiniti has to do is keep this interior pretty much the same as concept, make changes here and there, sell at or just under the competition, and VOILA! I see a product that will stop the G from becoming a third of all Infiniti sales.

So is this supposed to be the next gen FX or totally new vehicle?

I agree. The interior looks sooooooo inviting. I especially like the lights in the head rests. I wonder if that will be a production feature? They were touting about ambient lighting in the M when it came out.

Totally new vehicle. The EX has the same wheelbase has the current FX. It is still up in the up as to whether or not the 2nd gen. FX will get third row seating.

I can see the AVM and LDP staying on in the production model. The ADM may be a pretty expensive option though. Also, the indirect headrest illumination could make it into production but I don't think it will. Instead, I think it will get ambient lighting like the new G sedan.

Alex, here is the specs when compared to the current FX. You can see that the EX is shorter, narrower, and lower than the FX. I can't wait to see what the next gen FX is going to look like.

EX
112" WB, 185.2" Length, 72" Width, 63.2" Height

FX
112" WB, 189.1 length, 75.8 width, 65.9 height

My prediction:

EX= New entry level SUV to compete with X3, RDX & LR2
FX= Will grow in size in orther to compete with X5, MDX, ML 350, etc. Three rows of seats will be available.

Actually, I like that it's shorter and lower. The next gen FX is going to be killer, that's for sure. Although if it gets bigger and adds a third row, I'm sorry to say that I will be no longer in the market it for it. The EX would be on my list, however.

I'll probably be trading my wife's 07 Sedan in for that a few years down the line. That car looks amazing!
