$45,000 MSRP for an EX35? What the heck is the new FX going to be priced at?

It's probably an AWD with all of the fixins. Still...

That would mean the FX would start around $47k-48k.

That interior color is gorgeous. I wish the G had a similar color option.

The price tag seems a bit steep. An Acura RDX starts at $33k has great handling/driver dynamics and virtually every option if you add the $3k Tech package. The competition will be interesting.

Not really. It's simply pricing overlap since the EX is now available with a host of features that aren't available on the current FX. It's like how people were all "OMFG T3H G37 IS SO EXPENSIVE!!!11!!!" when in fact the price increase was mostly due to the fact that there's more standard equipment over the V35 gen Coupes and the availability of options that weren't even offered on the 03-07s (reverse camera, AFS, 9.3GB HDD, iPod interface, full color screen etc...).

Base EXs will more than likely be priced just a bit more than a stripper G35x.

I'm sure the '09 FX's base price will increase a bit as there will be more standard equipment, however Infiniti probably knows that not everyone will be willing to "downgrade" from an FX to an EX. My guess is base price on the next FX will rise about $1500-$2000 at most over an '08.

I'm sure you know more about pricing these cars than I do. I hope your right.

I'm just looking forward to the unveiling.

Not bashing, but what's the point of the EX? If it's basically the G sedan with just 3 more cubic feet in the trunk, why get this over a G35x. Just curious as to why I would TRY and convince my wife to get this over the G35x for her next vehicle. It rides only an inch higher, and is just 4 inches taller, not really small SUV dimensions either.

Beautiful car, great interior.

Smaller than my wife's X3? You have got to be kidding me.

Less knee room than my G35, slower, and virtually no increase in trunk space, plus a higher center of gravity? WHY?

USELESS.

There is nobody in the industry who can do an interior better than Infiniti at this price point IMHO

297hp engine uses regular gas.
a little shorter than the G35x
Once the hoopla dies down and they start selling for Dealer Invoice the price is very close to the G35x.

Still not a fan of it. I love the interior looks but the outside is just strange looking.

Regular gas? Are you sure about that? I thought most recent VQ engines are specified as premium recommended, although you could drive fine with lesser grades.
