If he isn't forced induced yet, but plans on getting an extra bung for the Wideband, would that bung (not having anything plugged into it currently) have any play as to what his computer will be reading?.. Sorry I can't answer that for him because I personally don't know myself either

No - the bung is capped off will not affect any measurements otherwise.

whats the difference between the Non-res and res test pipes? These are the ones that do not pass emissions right>?

Neither test pipe will pass smog - and the CATS not likely either - the CATS could pass the sniff test, but not the visual test.

Resonated testpipes have a resonator - to help eliminate rasp and smooth out the tone. Non-resonated are just pipe only - other-wise known and CAT-delete pipes. You will get rasp from plain testpipes, however you'll also get the most HP from them.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

sorry for the noobness, but whats the difference from the Sniff test and visual test? Do ppl just switch back to stock cats when it's time for emissions test?

You have to pass both tests - so the computer sniffs and records from the tailpipe and the inspector will do a visual of the car as well.

Just because the car blows clean, doesn't mean it has the required emissions parts installed.

Most people save their old cats and just install them for the tests. Also, you can't sell the car with improper emissions components, so you will want to save them as well for that purpose.

And as always - keep in mind - testpipes and CATS are for off road use only
