not exactly. If the knockoff uses junk metal, and the welds are different, then no it's not the same. Also, the muffler design will obviously be different, since the HKS people are gods. There have been tooooo many articles (sport compact car magazine, importtuner, superstreet, etc) on how knockoff parts are the worst things you can put on your car.Originally Posted by Invision G35
theoretically w/ same piping & the same design it should put up numbers around the same. exhausts are exhausts.

yes you are correct but as far as welds and material goes they are both made out of stainless steel and welds hold up great. warranty also covers any thing that might go wrong. HKS does have great R&D but they do not always use the best material either. on most HKS exhaust they use mild steel instead of stainless.

Awaiting shipment, I'd like to hear how everyone ends up liking this exhaust, maybe some sound clips on the G would be nice

Interested in getting one if you still have them or still can get them. Also I live pretty close, so I would rather pick up if thats ok.
Are there any shops around your store that you would recommend for install? Also, I've seen some boxes of the exhausts and they're huge. How do most people get the exhaust to the shop and how do they take the stock one back?
Thanks
