They aren't the mud guards you're thinking of, they're actually the guards that are in line with the bumper (you painted your and we discussed them when I was doing your fenders)

Also any tips for doing the conversion, or links to any threads. Seems pretty simple, I may just run without the trunk button for a cleaner look and use my Fob. Any other modifications I should be aware of before tackling this and deciding if I want to order the bumper and lip if they are still around.

Nope it'll be direct bolt on. The trunk button is really your car, the 03/04s never even had them (except doggy doors)

Other than that, everything bolts on and lines up.
