I mounted the lip an inch lower so I can match my sides I used a rubber washers to fill in the gaps underneath

so you lowered the lip 1in lower huh? how does that exactly work, are you still able bolt it on from the wheel well area? id like to do the same because i think the lip doesnt go low enough! does the lip feel insecure? hate to have it fall off when im driving! =)
