Again, it's not about will or won't. I'm sure I'll get it back. I just don't want to sit around for 4 months waiting for a product. What would you do if your $150 was tied up in the group buy and somebody releases one to market immediately and you couldn't back out. That's my point.

$150 isn't going to bankrupt any of us, but I'm not going to call it "only $150." It's not chump change. If $150 is going to a product that will come timely, cool, but IMO, this thing hasn't even been made yet. It could be MONTHS. I've been bitten by deals like this where you put money in and you don't get your product for months. And while you wait, new deals immediately available pass by and you can't get your money back because the deal you reserved is still going....very slowly. I mean no disrespect to RAVspec, I think this is a product that MANY of us have been craving for a long time. It's just that I've been hearing about this since last October, and I'd like a difinitive timeline before I put money down.

I'll ask again, from the time you get 20, how long until we receive our product?

**Edit: The first post says ETA Mid March. What does that mean? The CF Diffusers are arriving mid March and are already being produced? Or the group buy is Mid-March?**

 

this was posted 02/03 so the time frame based on this would be 6-8 weeks
He has to get 20 people with deposits so he could start producing
the mold is already made as its the same mold used for both carbon & glass Hes going to modify the existing mold to fit the HKS or just make a new one

 

If more people do it, make the deposit, the sooner the product is made and shipped. The longer people sit on the fence wondering how long it will take to get 20 deposits...... the longer it will take to get 20deposits. SHEEZ!!!! 20+ people make a desposit, approx 30days later we'll have a product.

It's a credit card. Call them up and tell them you want to cancel and they'll post a refund to your card. If they don't, call your credit card company up and get the money back that way. Either way, your reply seems like a cop out to me. But hey, that's just my opinion. If you want the item, leave a deposit... simple as that.

NISMOTO, I think it's pretty common sense that the sooner we get to 20 the faster they'll start production. I never asked that. What I was asking was how long from that point. And like I said, my issue isn't getting the money back, it's how long I would expect to wait AFTER the 20 is reached. 6-8 weeks I can deal with. The 4-5 months it took to get this group buy finally off the ground, not so much.

That was answered in the first post of the thread. All you would've had to do is actually READ the post for the information. Or the first several pages where it was answered by RavSpec again. But hey, not everyone reads thread posts, not everyone tries to search, they just post questions ignoring information already available. So I'm sincerely glad you now have your answer and hope to see your name on the pre-order list with us [haven't looked at the 1st post since yesterday].

I guess Im going to call him tomorrow as it looks like he hasnt been on in a while and ask if he could just update the list or even make a separate Carbon list

 

Looks like there's 9 people on the pre-order list for the CF version with the most recent being added today [03/19/07]. If that 10-15 number is correct, we only need 1-6 more people to leave a desposit.

people, just drop ur deposit. I am pretty sure we will either get the product or money back. And one of my friend from WRX site heard about them before. They do good stuff for GOOD price. Come on, I want my CF DIFFUSER!!!

I know this is gonna get made because we seem to be getting a good response compared to the first time
