you have yours powder coated too? I was going to do mine right when I got them but Dan scared me out of it saying that its hard to weld them back perfectly aligned and it could cause problems so I never did it.
if this falls through, i might just bite the bullet and go have it done.

yes that is hard to do

no kidkane got his like that from maya
i didnt even know it was possilbe until he kept telling me that it was available my guy didnt even know they were available.

are his actually black or hyperblack? they did have hyperblack that was discontinued just before I got mine.

no they are black

the hyper black was discontinued which is why i thought it couldnt be done. but kidkane kept tellin me you could get black, so i kept askin and my guy kept tellin me no. so finally my guy comes back and says o yeh you can get black they just released it a while ago. but kidkane had already gotten his else where.

if it makes you feel any better you had yours a long time before he got his

I just checked the website....and the black STMs are on there....i dont think they offered it when I got mine.

Tha all black were just released not that long ago. Mine were done waaaaaay before they came out. BTW, there is no welding required.

I thought they had to remove the welds to powder coat the inside?

Welds??? The centers are bolted in.

Some centers (face) are welded onto the barrel of the rim, like RH and PIAA, but higher quality (and usually more expensive) rims like Maya and Volk are bolted to the barrels, which is better because the face can be removed to effect repairs to the rim.

Wes, all your wheels need is the center unbolted, powder coated, and reinstalled.

Matt...to save you the trouble, I would probably just buy yours and switch them to mine then sell the extra set.

Saturday AM is best but I can do either.
