i used the CRC Cleaner for my MAF Senor worked fine just let it dry out before you plug anything back in. if your scared you can have the dealer clean it for you i think they charge like $80. and as for the Filter you can get a K&N recharge kit

Amazon Amazon

you can use the K&N on any filter, what intake do you have?

Search under yahoo put the Intakes name and then "replacement filter" and ull find the filter you want. just make sure its the right one for your intake.

Search Example ( Injen Replacement Filter ) http://www.eautoworks.com/html/produ...00495&reff=SMX

How difficult could it be? Take the MAF off of the filter housing and the intake tubs and spray the wire. Just don't unplug it.

doesnt sound to hard at all but from what ive heard its something to be careful doing and since ive never seen what the MAF sensor is or the wire inside the tube i'd rather have someone do it who knows whad up...maybe ill give it a try! hopefully i dont come back posting with my ses light on!

I couldn't find any procedure in the service manual for cleaning the MAF sensor. The service manual simply says "Do not clean mass air flow sensor with any type of detergent." (p18 of the Engine ControlSystem section) For diagnostics, the manual says when inspecting and testing the MAF, "If NG, clean or replace mass air flow sensor." (p.160 of the Engine ControlSystem section)

its pretty straight forward, just remove the piece (tube) where the MAF is at and spray inside a couple of times with a towel covering the other side of the tube, the CRC MAF cleaner dries up pretty quick, just make sure to reconnect it when you are done so you dont get an SES

Guys, I'm going to clean the MAF sensor with the CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner. The instructions are pretty ****ty, so how do I apply it?

Do I remove the plug and spray on the plug? Do I just take off the Z-tube and spray inside of that? What..
