Little Electrical help needed

So I just got my mirrors painted and the wires were cut to get the black plastic piece completely off. In an attempt to shrink wrap the wires that were already soldered i tried to push the pins through the wire harness connector and i think i damaged the harness.

Does anyone know how to get the wires out of the wire harness and switch out the wire harness?

Thanks

Dan

I haven't seen the harness, but most that use pins have little catches on the pins that you have to unlatch with a small tool. That's just my guess.

Try looking in the service manual. I don't know if anything is there, but you never know.

if ur switching to a new harness then u could just hack the harness up....

but...every harness i've seen can normally be released by sticking a paperclip in with the wire then pulling both out...

Thanks Gilley i checkd the manual and it doesnt show how to take the wires out of the harness it just shows you how to unplug it and then it tells you not to pull the wires. LOL

Go to radio shack or Grainger or a place were they sell electronics stuff. Ask for a Pin extractor. If u wanted to remove the pins out of the connector.
