BTW, there is no cell phone coverage at Fontana Village, so unless you have a satellite phone, you are pretty isolated.

The FRS radios are a good idea and they are pretty inexpensive. It's a good idea to get a set.

I have a phone that hits internet...not an internet phone...but I was saying that for those with WIFI capable laptops who might want to bring them along.

we should have 1 walkie talkie per car in the caravan at a minimum.....makes for a very fun drive and saves lot of time calling everyone to tell them the plans
