Is there anything in Jacksonville?

Hi,

It me again, I seeked advise on my last trip down to Naples/Miami. I'm flying into Jacksonvill next Thursday for a cruise. The cruise doesn't depart until 4pm so I was wondering if there's anything to do around there. I will arrive in the morning so I was planning on renting a car to drive around and kill some times. To be specific, the cruise depart location is 15 minutes from JIA. It looks like downtown is right around the corner also. Is there much to do there? I need advice on any cool site seeing places and some place to eat lunch. Thank you in advance for you assistance.

He sucks...And I can't believe w0ady didn't say you can start your cruise off right by going to the Ansheiser-Busch plant, get a tour and tasting, and it's located between the airport and the cruise terminal.

If not that, you can take a trip to the Jax zoo, also right in between the two locales off of Heckshire drive. Heading East on Heckshire, you can see a ton of big *** houses on the water as well as some dive bars and seafood places. Barz Liquors is down near the ferry and is a cool place to drink on the water (and my great uncle Eddie Barzcyk owns it)...

Landing is about a half hour from the cruise spot with all of the traffic involved...Other than a new outlet mall right there east of I95 at the airpor road exit, and the other things I mentioned, there really isn't anything on that side of town...

Lots of bullet holes in road signs, even on the highways.

Ugh, not really...Northside doesn't really have my kind of eats. You cna find local seafood off of Heckshire drive. There's places right on airport road, too...No place worth recommending...

actually if your with a gf or wife or something you might want to check out the avenues for a movie its a nice mall or go to the TOWNSCENTER they have every store you can think of their

and for restaurant choices i drove up there to go to the Cheesecake Factory it was a wait but its definately worth it, and im guessing if there open for lunch you shouldnt have a problem

hope that helps somewhat
