so i have 30k on the car and the dealer says i should change the P/S fluid as part of my maintenance at 30k. thoughts or opinions? figure i'll do it myself if it needs doing, but what do you recommend i use? cap says dexron atf, and i think the manual says dexron 3 atf. just curious what others are doing, regarding the fluid change.

 

I haven't done it, but go with what the manual reommends and you'll be fine. And don't pay dealer prices for the service.

 

I just picked up some Mobil1 Syn ATF. It is dexron/mercon compatible.

 

I use Amsoil for my oil, tranny fluid, and etc.

 

Has anyone heard or think it would be bad to use Honda PSF in the G35? The manual said to use Nissan PSF II fluid or Dexron III ATF. Any opinions?

 

I would only use the recommended power steering and auto tranny fluid. All other fluids are ok to change to what you like.

 

use the ATF as the manual indicates!
